Vets could have been treated at PCH

— — This is in regard to the big upcoming event of having the mobile veterans van in Princeton. I do not understand why they are making such a show. Princeton Community Hospital had offered the top floor, or at least part of it, for the treatment of vets free of charge. All the VA had to do was supply the doctors and nurses, the Shott Foundation was going to fund any needs that were to be incurred.

The Veterans Administration spent all the money for the mobile van, I guess that was not padding someone’s pocket for the cost of the bus. There is not a space that is big enough to park the bus, let alone an electric hook-up to operate the equipment on board. There is also the cost of transportation from Beckley to Princeton.

I am all for the treatment for the vets. I am one, I am retired from the Navy.
