Help working people, not criminals

— — This is a comment about the front-page story on Feb. 17, about the criminals and substance abuse and how everyone goes out of their way to help the criminals. But people who worked and now can’t work, they can’t get anything — such as their disability.

They have to fight for anything they go after and still don’t get it. That is unjust. The government and the welfare system should worry more about helping someone that will do the most good. Because as soon as you help criminals get off their habit, they will be back on drugs full speed ahead — as soon as they get a steady income.

Think about it. The system does not do right by the working people, and the people who can’t work anymore. It’s all for the criminals.
