Thanks for support of fishing day

Bluefield Daily Telegraph

— — The town of Tazewell Police Department along with the members of the town of Tazewell would like to thank all the individuals who came together to help the children in our area enjoy a free fun-filled day of fishing and good food. We would like to recognize the local businesses who graciously donated to our program that allowed us to reward prizes for accomplishments on this day.

Those businesses are: Ekco Incorporated of Tazewell, H&V Outdoors of Richlands, Magic Mart of Tazewell, Mefcor Outdoors of Tazewell, and Power Trac of Tazewell.

Also we would like to extend a thank you to the Tazewell County Moose Lodge No. 198, council member Jack Murray and also Ms. Patricia Harry for their help in making this program possible. Fish Day is held at Dunford Park where we stocked the creek with 125 trout that the children were able to test their angling skills and then enjoy a lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, cookies and juices.

Not only could they keep their trophy trout to eat, but we also had prizes for first fish caught, biggest fish, golden trout awards, and ended the day with door prizes.

Again we would like to say thank you to our sponsors as well as the parents and children who participated in our event and continue to make it an annual success.
