Volunteers key to Bluewell’s growth

— — Volunteerism is alive and well in Bluewell. As vice president of the Bluewell Improvement Association, our town would like to thank Jim Webb, Sam Vance, Steve Abshire, Hal Gusler, Dan Smoak, Jack Foster, Kevin Crane and Gene, Lori and Brody Combs for their dedication and hard work.

The “Bluewell Posse” installs our holiday lights and beautiful hanging baskets at no charge to our community. These are truly dedicated volunteers who demonstrate their love of community through their hard work. (These tasks are not easy!)

Bluewell would not be on the move without the help of these town-loving volunteers. We are lucky, thankful and grateful for these people.

We would also like to ask our town residents, businesses and others to contribute to our flower basket fund. Any amount you can donate would be very much appreciated. We love Bluewell, we are excited to see its growth and we hope to continue to make a difference in the quality of life here.

Checks are tax deductible (we are tax exempt) and should be made to B.I.A. and mailed to 3431 Coal Heritage Road, Bluefield, WV  24701. You may also drop off your donation at Four Seasons Answering Service or Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.

We appreciate any and all generosity. We love calling Bluewell home.

Skip Crane

vice president

Bluewell Improvement Association
