Bluefield Daily Telegraph
“Faithful in little, faithful in much.” I learned that when I was much younger and still use it as a measuring stick from time to time. How do you know to trust someone? How do you judge who should represent you in any regard? You watch and you learn and you remember.
In less than a 12-hour period from Friday afternoon to Saturday morning we had two elected officials prove they simply cannot be trusted. Our governor, a self proclaimed “pro-life Democrat,” vetoed common sense abortion reform. Also, our esteemed representative from The County was arrested for the third time in as many years.
The governor’s veto is simply a summation of the productivity of this last session and Democrat leadership. But the other guy? Well, people who cannot follow the laws should not be allowed or trusted to write them.
We should all pay attention and not repeat the mistakes of the past. Friends don’t let friends vote “stupid.”
