CART’s performance of “Bunnicula,” Sunday, Nov. 24, was just the right ticket to start off the Thanksgiving season. Fun comes in different packages, even if it is a little bunny named Bunnicula! CART’s audience enjoyed a dog named Harold and a cat named Chester who was bound and determined to protect their family, and in the end everyone was helping each other. Isn’t that what family is all about? True blessings in small packages.
I would like to thank our sponsors Consol Energy/CNX Gas Company and the Richlands Area Chamber of Commerce and additional contributions from Century 21 Prime Properties/Vickie England. Our tech team was made up of Doug Branton, Mary Sue Whitt, Tim McClure, Jackie Clark, Donnie Perdue, Spotlight Rental, Martha Hurst, Jan McClure, Cooper Hurst, Cathy Harris, Linda Tanner, Joanna Cover, Vickie England and Richlands Middle School administration and custodial staff. I also would like to thank everyone who brought peanut butter for the school backpack program and congratulations to Dalton Altizer, the winner of the “Bunnicula” book signed by the Theatreworks USA cast.
CART’s next performance is the Virginia Handbell Consort, Saturday, Dec. 7, at 3 p.m. at Richlands Middle School. Join us as we ring in the Christmas season and the New Year!
