Bluefield Daily Telegraph
I am simultaneously appalled, angered, ashamed and disappointed with the unacceptable and intolerable acts of vandalism inflicted upon our Islamic brothers and sisters at their place of worship in Green Valley.
Those bigoted, hateful and religiously biased individuals who committed those acts must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Whether you agree or disagree; whether you believe or disbelieve; whether you support or not support Islam and those related principles, we all must champion the right for our Islamic brothers and sisters to worship in harmony, peace, love and happiness.
Conversely, we must condemn any and all cowardly acts that impede and or infringe upon our Islamic brothers and sisters right to avail themselves of their constitutional guarantees and freedoms.
As an active and dedicated member of this wonderful and diverse community, I apologize to my Islamic brothers and sisters for these insane acts of violence. I stand poised to assist my Islamic brothers and sisters in any manner deemed necessary and appropriate to bring about a positive resolution to this problematic area of concern. I invite each of you to join with me.
In parting, I simply ask: When did we become The United Hates of America?
