Recently I visited southern Maryland. As I was traveling along Route 4 between Leonardtown and Lexington Park my vehicle tires touched the yellow center lines. I became aware that on that two-lane road there are beveled cuts about a foot apart and that are the widths of the yellow lines. This provides a rumble strip similar to the ones on the edges of some roads in our area.
I thought this should be on every two-lane road in West Virginia to make drivers aware of being on the center line or crossing it, which just might save property damage and perhaps a life.
