Bond too low for murder suspect

— — In regard to the Dec. 10 article, “Murder Suspect Arraigned,” I have a thought that must be shared with my fellow readers.

Simply put, how is a man who shot a man in the chest five times able to pay $5,000 and go home to enjoy the holidays with his family? Meanwhile, a man who was a father, brother, son, friend and coach lays dead on the medical examiner’s table.

Maybe something was missing in this story, hopefully so. Otherwise, we must ask is this justice and how safe are we?

Hopefully, I just missed something.

If there is a good reason for this, I know a lot of citizens of our area that would love to know.

Until then, I shall mourn my friend and pray for his family.

William Dudley
