BRMC’s emergency care is a life-saver

To Lynn Whitteker, CEO Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Bluefield:

The medical care I received at Bluefield Regional Medical Center was professional, efficient, expedient and a perfect diagnosis for my problem. Bluefield Regional Medical Center diagnosed, treated, stabilized and transferred me to a facility able to complete the scope of my care. I cannot recommend any hospital higher than Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

Thank you BRMC for taking care of my life threatening problem with the expedient care necessary to save my life and the future health of my heart. Your Emergency Department will forever have my gratitude.

I transported myself to Bluefield Regional Medical Center because I was experiencing severe chest pain, a hot and sweaty forehead and weakness in my entire body.

The medical care I received at Bluefield Regional Medical Center was professional, efficient, expedient and a perfect diagnosis for my problem. Within one minute of entry into the Emergency Room treatment was started by the emergency staff. The staff operated with a precision that quickly gave them the answer to my problem and they set about stabilizing my condition which was accomplished within a short period of time. Life-saving care was the result of their effort. Thanks to the Emergency Department at Bluefield Regional Medical Center without which I may not be alive today.

I am home from Roanoke Memorial Hospital where I was treated over the past three days for a moderate heart attack. I had two blockages located in arteries in the frontal area of my heart which were treated by placing a stainless steel medicated stint in each blockage area. My arteries where the stents were placed were calculated to be 90% compromised with a reduced blood flow subject to cause death if a solution were not enacted.

Bluefield Regional Medical Center diagnosed, treated, stabilized and transferred me to a facility able to complete the scope of my care.

I cannot recommend any hospital higher than Bluefield Regional Medical Center. I am writing this letter today without any known damage to my health; in fact I suggest that I’m stronger today than I was on Wednesday of last week. BRMC kept my myocardial infarction from injuring my heart muscle by the quickness of their treatment.
