Media misses mark on presidential race

Bluefield Daily Telegraph

I do not know about you, but I am beginning to find the race for the presidency a little confusing.

The last time I switched TV on it seemed the Rev. Jeremiah Wright was running against Obama for the White House and against The Rev. Al Sharpton for national spokesperson for the black community. Hillary seemed to be somewhere in Indiana searching for a media outlet that could provide at least some local coverage and McCain was wandering in the wilderness of North Carolina.

I could not tell if McCain would be there for 30 years or perhaps for a longer period.

What happened to the Clinton race that was based on issues? What happened to the Obama race that was based on bad government and change? How can the mass media justify focusing so much time and energy on one preacher who should be ministering to his flock?
