Pearley H. Rasnake
CLAREMONT, N.C. — Pearley H. Rasnake, age 77, of Claremont, N.C., formerly of Cucumber, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory, N.C. Born March 5, 1932 at Caretta, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Glenn and Mandy Hicks Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Franklin D. Rasnake; three brothers, Johnny Baker, Earl Baker, and Burl Baker; three sisters, Hattie Baker, Stella Artist, and Madrey Pierce.
She is survived by her husband, John L. Charles of McDowell County, W.Va.; two sons, Michael Rasnake and wife, Nancy and Marshall Rasnake and wife, Cora, all of Squire, W.Va.; one daughter, Janet Rasnake of Claremont, N.C.; one brother, Arnold Baker and wife, Edith of Alexis, N.C.; four grandchildren, Bryan Click, Kimberly Rasnake, David Rasnake, and Frankie Rasnake; one great-grandchild, Joanna Rasnake.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Berwind Revival Center in Berwind, W.Va. with Pastor Lacy Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the church after 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 26, 2009.
