Dale Elizabeth “Deedee” Riley Kiger
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Dale Elizabeth “Deedee” Riley Kiger, 65, of Andover Place, Little Rock , Ark., formerly of Greensboro, N.C. went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 30, 2009.
She was born January 15, 1944 in Roanoke, Va. and was the daughter of the late William Henry Riley, Jr and Dorothy Coles Riley Wright. She was raised in Bluefield, W.Va. then moved many times before making Greensboro, N.C. her home for more than 25 years. She graduated from Bluefield High School in 1961 and graduated from West Virginia University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Deedee spent many years in Psychiatric Nursing and most recently retired from Moses Cone Behavioral Health Center as the Staff Educator. She was most recently an active member of Guilford College United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Wendy L. Ward-Begnoche; husband, Normand of Little Rock, Ark.; and son, Brian D. Ward, wife Wendy of Kernersville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Nicole and Dalton Ward of Kernersville, N.C., and Catherine, Mirielle and Aimee Begnoche of Little Rock, Ark.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday November 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Monte Vista Park Cemetery. Tom Kesting of In-Touch Ministries will officiate the service. Those wishing to attend the services are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Andrew Wowczuk, Drew Speer, Normand Begnoche, Dalton Ward, Michael Wood and Brian Ward.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the National Cancer Foundation.
