Louis Kenneth Wyatt

PRINCETON — Louis Kenneth Wyatt, 86, formerly of Lakeland Park, Bluefield died Friday, October 30, 2009 at the home of Mary Heath in Princeton. Born August 12, 1923 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Granville Wyatt and Mary Etta Kelly Wyatt.

Mr. Wyatt attended Summers County schools prior to joining the United States Army where he served during World War II. He lived most of his adult life in Gary where he worked as a mine foreman for U. S. Steel. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Princeton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of over 50 years, Doris Newsome Wyatt; one daughter, Dinah Lynn Magyar; six brothers, Oscar Wyatt, Lawrence Wyatt, Leonard Wyatt, Okie Wyatt, Wilson Wyatt and Ira Wyatt; one sister, Zona Graham.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis Wyatt and wife Linda of Princeton, Dan Wyatt and wife Sue of Titusville, Fla.; two daughters, Donna Whipp and husband Jim of Jefferson City, Tenn. and Darlene Andis and husband Ken (Dickie) of Titusville; five grandchildren, Paula Bishop and husband Gene of Princeton, Steven Mitchem and wife Conni of Jefferson City, Tenn., Richard Mitchem and wife Tina of Jefferson City, Tenn., Deah Medlin and husband Rob of Titusville, Fla., Daedra Hamann and husband Glen of Titusville, Fla.; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Charles Wyatt of Lerona and Maynard Wyatt of Massillon, Ohio. Mr. Wyatt also leaves behind his special friend, Louise Reed.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Dan Jividen officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 264 New Hope Road, Princeton, WV 24740.
