Mary Ruth Bowling Wiggins
ADVANCE, N.C. — Mary Ruth Bowling Wiggins, 91 of Advance, N.C., a former resident of Georgian Manor in Princeton, died Sunday, October 04, 2009, at the Bermuda Commons Nursing Home in Advance. Born in Princeton December 17, 1918 she was the daughter of the late William G. and Mahala S. Lilly Bowling. She retired after 23 years of service in the accounting department of Bluefield Supply Co. Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton where she attended the Rachel Fulton Circle. She was also a member of the Princeton Chapter, Order of The Eastern Star, Bud & Blossom Garden Club and the Homemakers Club. She was an avid bridge player and was a member of four bridge clubs.
One sister, Roberta M Shaffer; and two brothers, William G. Bowling, Jr. and Bernard D. Bowling preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Gail Wiggins Bowling of Advance, N.C.; one granddaughter, Cynthia Bowling; one grandson, James M. Bowling, Jr. and his wife Kim of White Oak, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Meghan E. Bowling; five nieces and nephews including Dianne Bellomy and Eddie Bowling to whom she was especially close and special friend, Rebecca Harmon.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2009, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Randy Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 12:00 noon to the service hour on Friday.
