Carl P. Boothe
PETERSTOWN, W.Va. — Carl P. Boothe, age 83, of Peterstown, W.Va., passed away, Sunday, July 5, 2009 at his home. Born January 1, 1926 at Green Valley, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles E. and Fleda Myrtle Shultz Boothe.
Carl worked as a foreman at the Celanese Corp., was a member of the Rock Camp Baptist Church, a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and a life member of the VFW. He was a lifelong resident of Monroe County where he loved to farm and hunt.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie J. Bradley Boothe, three brothers; Oather, Charles “Ottie”, and John Aubrey “Orb” Boothe and three sisters; Florence Wilson, Nellie Tabor and Mary Meadows.
Survivors include a son, Steve Boothe and wife Donna of Lindside, W.Va., one daughter, Barbara Boothe of Peterstown, W.Va., three brothers Ed Boothe of Peterstown, W.Va., Houston Boothe of Aiken, S.C. and Richard D. “Hoover” Boothe of Windsor, S.C., three grandchildren, Stevie Boothe, Debbie Sams and Carla Boothe, four great-grandchildren, Karsyn and Connor Boothe and Tyler and Taylor Sams and his beloved pets.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, W.Va., with the Rev. Joe Geiger officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery, Green Valley Road, Peterstown, W.Va., with Dennis Burton, Johnny Boothe, Nathan Francis, Larry Martin, David Sams and Larry Urquhart serving as pallbearers.
