Governors to hold 2015 summer meeting in W.Va.

CHARLESTON — The National Governors Association will hold its 2015 summer business meeting in West Virginia.

West Virginia hasn’t hosted the association’s summer meeting since 1950. The summer meeting also was held in the Mountain State in 1922.

The association’s vice chair, Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, says in a news release that the meetings are an opportunity for governors to develop innovative and improved approaches to government.

West Virginia Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin says he’s thrilled to showcase the state to governors from across the country.
