SALEM, N. H. - A masseur at a mall spa has been arrested more than two months after he was accused of sexually assaulting a female customer while she slept.
The arrest warrant was issued for Xijing Geng, 50, on Sept. 1 after police received test results from DNA samples taken from the 22-year-old woman on June 30.
Geng turned himself in to police this week.
Police said the woman went to the spa at The Mall at Rockingham Park for an hour-long massage and fell asleep during it. When she awoke, she told police, her shorts were pulled down and the masseur was fondling her breasts.
She identified the masseur as Geng and said he left the room when she woke up.
Police took the DNA sample from the woman at the spa the day of the incident and sent it to the state laboratory for testing. There was no explanation as to why it took so long to get the results back and issue the arrest warrant.
State authorities said Geng did not have a massage therapy license and should not have been working at the spa.
