Associated Press

CHARLESTON —  West Virginia is on a multi-state lottery roll.

The West Virginia Lottery says someone won a $1 million prize in Saturday’s Powerball drawing. The winner bought a ticket in Ellenboro that matched five numbers but missed the Powerball.

It’s the sixth ticket sold in West Virginia to win a prize of $1 million or more this year from Powerball or Mega Millions.

West Virginia Lottery Director John Musgrave will introduce the latest winner Monday afternoon at a news conference in Charleston.
