Police: Man claims prostitute crashed his pickup truck

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Police in Pennsylvania are investigating a story they were given by a man who they found intoxicated at the scene of a one-vehicle crash.

The man, Justin Frishkorn of New Castle, told Hickory Township police officers he had encountered a prostitute on the city’s south side and that she was driving a pickup truck, registered to him, at the time of the crash. According to officers, Frishkorn said she had been ejected from the truck when it left the road. A search of the immediate area by officers from nearby New Castle Police Department, however, failed to turn up anyone.

Frishkorn, 28, was found standing beside the truck, which according to police had slid into a stand of trees after failing to negotiate a curve on Eastbrook Road at high speed around 10 p.m. Sunday. Police said he was intoxicated.

Frishkorn was taken to Jameson Hospital for treatment for minor injuries. Police Tuesday said the investigation was still ongoing.

Information for this story was reported by the New Castle (Pa.) News.
