A Princeton woman appeared before Magistrate Sandra Dorsey Friday for a preliminary hearing after allegedly beating an elderly man with pots and pans.
Patina Hypes, 49, of Princeton, was arrested April 29 after allegedly beating 82-year-old Thomas Moore, according to an earlier report by Trooper First Class J.A. Cook.
Cook testified Friday that Princeton Community Hospital contacted him about the blunt force trauma to Moore’s body.
Hypes case was binded over to the next grand jury.
David Small, 35, of Princeton, was also arrested in connection to the elderly abuse of Moore, but Small waved his time limit and was denied a bond reduction by Dorsey.
Small remains in the Southern Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond. Hypes is out on bond.
