BRAMWELL —  No one was injured Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident on Route 20 caused by a tire blowout.

Deputy W.E. Rose, with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, said a white, 1988 Ford F-350 hauling a red, 1997 Ford truck was traveling eastbound on Route 20 toward Princeton when it busted a tire.

“He lost control and jack-knifed,” Rose said. “It spun it all the way around,” and the vehicle ended up in a ditch beside the opposite westbound lane.

“It actually tossed the other vehicle off the back of it,” Rose said.

The 1988 Ford truck being hauled landed on an embankment beside the westbound lane.

Rose said there were no injuries or entrapment as a result of the accident, and no citations were issued.

The accident, which was reported around 3:15 p.m., occurred near the intersection of Route 20 and Littlesburg Road. Traffic was stopped on Route 20 for about 10-15 minutes.

William Erps of Princeton was the driver of the vehicle.
