Search for missing Tazewell County hunter enters day six

CEDAR BLUFF, Va. — According to a spokesperson for the town of Cedar Bluff, volunteers resumed their efforts Wednesday morning in their search for a Tazewell County man who has now been missing six days.

Eric Smith, 41, entered the woods near his Cedar Bluff home Friday morning and hasn’t been seen since. Local authorities initiated a search for Smith on Friday night, and continued the search through the weekend. Smith has been described as an experienced hunter who had two deer stands within a mile of his home. He was last seen by his family at 10 a.m., on Nov. 8.
