One person died Monday in an early morning house fire in Mercer County.
Four fire departments were dispatched to the blaze in Bramwell. The fire was first reported on Bowen Lane in Bramwell at 4:42 a.m.
Bramwell Fire Chief Joe Miller said one person died in the fire.
The homeowner, who is not being identified at this time, was the victim, according to Miller.
The state fire marshal’s office is on the scene of the blaze.
As of 9:30 a.m. this morning, crews from the fire departments were still on the scene of the blaze.
The Bramwell Volunteer Fire Department, Montcalm Volunteer Fire Department, Northfork Volunteer Fire Department and Bluewell Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the scene. The Bluefield Rescue Squad was also dispatched as a precaution, the spokesperson said.
