Two people were transported from a fire Wednesday evening at the Princeton towers on Stafford Drive, according to Princeton fire Chief Sean Wyatt.
“We responded to a report of a fire alarm on the fifth floor of the building,” Wyatt said. “When we arrived on the fifth floor, the long, or west, hallway was filled with smoke. We found the origin of the fire in room 508.”
Wyatt said that a pot on a stove was in flames. “I put a lid on the pot to extinguish the fire, and then myself and firefighter Adam Branscome carried the resident out of the room and took her down to paramedics with the Princeton Rescue Squad.”
In addition to paid staff and volunteers with the Princeton Fire Department and the Princeton Rescue Squad, the East River Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
