Motorists are being asked to avoid the area of Brick Street in Princeton due to an accident involving an excavator truck.
The truck struck a railroad bridge below Rogers Street, according to Mercer County 911.
The bridge is now being inspected for damage. A 911 dispatcher says South Second to South Wickham is being closed to traffic as a result of the crash. Norfolk Southern also has been contacted to divert all railroad traffic from the area.
Traffic on Brick Street will remain closed until the bridge is deemed safe for vehicles to pass underneath it, according to the Princeton Police Department.
No injuries were reported, according to 911.
More details as they become available.
