An evening with The Isaacs

August 03, 2007 05:28 pm

Following their popular concert in Princeton last year, The Isaacs are set to return.
Princeton Church of God will host the bluegrass gospel family on Friday, Aug. 10. The Appalachian Teen Challenge Choir will make a special guest appearance. The event will begin at 7 p.m.
The Isaacs have traveled for more than 30 years, delivering a unique style that marries bluegrass harmonies and instrumentation with modern Southern gospel lyrics. Their musical influences span many genres, including bluegrass, rhythm and blues, folk, contemporary acoustic and Southern gospel. They appear frequently at the Grand Ole Opry, are active members in the Gaither Homecoming videos and concert series, and have performed throughout the world.
Tickets are on sale at the Princeton Church of God and Christian bookstores in Princeton, Bluefield, Beckley and Tazewell. To purchase tickets using a major credit card, people can call Christian Concert Authority at (877) 777-4TIX.
In support of the work of Teen Challenge, audience members are asked to bring canned food donations to the concert. Princeton Church of God is located at 250 Oakvale Road in Princeton. For more information, call 425-6505 or visit www.gospelmusicconcerts.com.
