Five suggestions to improve W.Va.

— — I have lived in West Virginia for 60 years and nothing has changed just the same old excuse (no money). I have kin people who have left West Virginia just to say I’m not coming back, and when asked why — the same old answer — you have nothing to offer.

No good paying jobs and most of all nothing to do except get on the porch and watch the grass grow. Our young people are leaving at an alarming rate.

This letter is going to be short, but if you want West Virginia to grow, here are some things that better change (1) better paying jobs; (2) cut taxes; (3) create and make things happen to keep people in West Virginia; (4) clean up the Bluestone River from sewer (How many times have I been asked if you could fish in Bluestone River, and my reply, you can fish but the river is so nasty don’t eat the fish.); (5) last but not least, keep West Virginia clean.

Put the signs back up. Maximize fines plus amounts of dollars and make that a habit to live by. Litter and get caught, get fined. Update our back roads and make them safer.

Do something to stop depending on the Hatfield-McCoy Trail for recreation.
