Rams hang tough but drop two at Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Ky. — Bluefield College forced 13th-ranked Georgetown College to 12 innings in Sunday’s first game before absorbing a 5-4 loss, then fell 3-2 to the Tigers.

The Rams scored twice in the eighth of game one to tie the game 4-4. David Higuera’s double in the 12th, the Tigers’ 18th hit, plated the inning run.

Ryan Lundgren was 2 for 4 with an RBI for Bluefield in the first game.

Lundgren’s base on balls with the bases loaded produced a 2-2 score in the sixth inning of game two, but the Tigers pulled out the win on an RBI single by Tyler Coker in the seventh.

Bluefield's Jacob Wright was 2 for 3 in game two.
