Miller gains Gold Glove

ATHENS — Concord first baseman Joey Miller has been named to the 2013 American Baseball Coaches  Association/Rawlings Atlantic Region Gold Glove Team. Miller was Concord's top fielder on the season.

He committed just two errors in 432 chances, giving him a team-high .995 fielding percentage. In addition to his defensive prowess Miller was also a force at the plate, batting .342 with 55 runs, 15 home runs and 70 RBI.

Miller ranked second in the nation in RBI and fourth in home runs.
