Softball: Rams sweep Lady Blues

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Bluefield State softball team dropped to a 5-17 on the season Tuesday, having been swept at Winston-Salem State 9-0 and 6-4.

Amanda Cokeley had Bluefield State’s lone hit in the opener. Lindsey Whited took the loss, allowing 13 hits and nine earned runs.

Reva Davis and Brittany Cook had two hits each in the nightcap for the Lady Blues. Allyson Hatfied drove in two runs. Cokeley took the loss in the circle, with the Rams scoring three runs each in the fourth and fifth innings.
