Fertig jumps to Nationals

BLUEFIELD —  Concord University high jumper Jeff Fertig has earned a berth into the NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 23-25 in Pueblo, Colo. Fertig, who is seeded 12th in the high jump, earned a chance to compete for a national title after clearing an NCAA qualifying height of 2.10 meters at the WVIAC Championships, not only capturing the conference title, but also setting a school record.
