Softball: Shawnee State sweeps two

BLUEFIELD, Va. — Shawnee State collected 25 hits in two games, outscoring Bluefield College 11-2 and 14-0 in a Mid-South Conference doubleheader on Tuesday at Graham Recreation Park.

Shawnee State (20-14, 14-8) pitcher Allie Chapman threw a no-hitter in the second game, while Holly Brabson led the 17-hit attack with three hits, three runs scored and two RBIs.

The opener was a similar scenario, with Shawnee State taking an 11-0 lead in the first three innings. Morgan Stephens drove in both of Bluefield’s runs in the third.

Bluefield dropped to 7-31 on the season, and 2-20 in the MSC.
