BSC golf heading to NCAA regional

INDIANAPOLIS — The Bluefield State golf team will make its fourth straight trip to the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional.

The Big Blues will be joined by WVIAC foes Concord, Davis & Elkins and Charleston on May 6-8 at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling.

Eighty teams and 32 individual players will compete in regional competition.

Only the top three teams and top two individuals not on those teams from the Atlantic/East Regional will qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships on May 20-24 in Hershey, Pa.

Bluefield State finished seventh in the Atlantic/East Regional and was two strokes behind from a fifth place finish that would have advanced them to the finals.

Concord has advanced to the Division II Championships on several occasions, including last May.
