Browning honored by Mid-South Conference

Bluefield College freshman is player of the week

COLUMBIA, Ky. — Bluefield College freshman Whitney Browning was named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. She scored the golden goal in two overtime contests at Emory & Henry and at King that gave BC a pair of wins. She is tied for the conference lead in both points (10) and goals (5) this season.

Bluefield has begun the season with a 3-0 record for the first time since 2008 and will return to the field on Wednesday this week for its home opener at the East River Soccer Complex. Game time against St. Andrews is scheduled for 3 p.m.
