Bluefield College softball drops twinbill

BLUEFIELD, Va. — Bluefield College collected 13 hits in a doubleheader on Tuesday but lost both games to Pikeville by 11-4 scores.

Aline Uehara was 4 for 7 with two doubles on the day for Bluefield (6-20, 1-11 MSC), and as BC’s pitcher struck out eight batters. Heather Thomas hit a three-run homer in the first inning of game two.

For Pikeville (10-15, 5-9), Hollie Hinkle was 4 for 9 and drove in five runs.
