FLORENCE, S.C. —
Bluefield State’s eight-game win streak came to an end on Tuesday night with a 66-61 loss at Francis Marion.
Dee Gray scored 12 points off the bench, and Alexia Bell and Camilie Dash had 10 points each, as the Patriots outscored the Lady Blues 39-35 in the second quarter to improve to 13-12 on the season.
Tasia Nolan and Kearah Jefferys scored 11 points each for Bluefield State, while Jenaya Abernathy added 10. Shay Gravely tossed in nine points and Shae Mebane added eight points and seven boards.
Bluefield State (12-10), which had been 8-0 on the 2014 calendar year, will conclude its season on Saturday at West Virginia Tech.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Evrik Gray scored 27 points and Tyler Deihl added 25 for the Patriots to send the Big Blues to their third straight defeat.
Francis Marion (10-14), which led 56-35 at the break, also received 19 points by Mykel Harris and 16 from Dustin Jones.
Bluefield State (7-14), which will conclude its season on Thursday at Davis & Elkins, was led by Dominique Cartier with 15 points and 14 from Remar Brothers. Treon Claiborne and Joseph Dawknins added nine points apiece.
