BSC golf ranks fourth in Atlantic Region

INDIANAPOLIS — The Bluefield State golf team is ranked No. 4 in the initial NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Rankings released Friday.

Bluefield State has competed in nine tournaments this season with one win and five more top-four finishes to go along with an average team score of 306.5.

The Big Blues are one of five WVIAC squads to appear in the top 10, joining Concord (No. 2), Davis & Elkins (No. 3), Charleston (No. 8) and West Liberty (No. 10). Indiana University of Pennsylvania sits atop the rankings.

Friday’s rankings were the first of three that will be released. They will also come out April 12 and April 29.

Bluefield State is back in action this weekend as they close out their regular season at the Roanoke Invitational which they have won the past two years.
