Blizzard taking new job

PRINCETON — Barry Blizzard will become the D2CCA Administrative Coordinator on July 1. Blizzard will conclude his 25-plus  year run as commissioner of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference when the WVIAC ceases operations on June 30.

The D2CCA mission is to encourage and promote Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. 

Prior to joining the WVIAC, Blizzard served as athletic director at Bluefield State College for 14 years. He received his bachelor's degree from Bluefield State in 1974 and received his master’s degree from Radford University in 1976.
