Russell-Myers receives regional honor

BC baseball places several on all-region list

BLUEFIELD, Va. —  Zac Russell-Myers of Bluefield College was named the Mid-East Region offensive player of the year in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) on Friday.

The senior led the Rams with 10 homers this season and ranked second on the team in hits (61), posting a batting average of .313 and a slugging percentage of .528.

Named to the regional first team were Bluefield’s Jacob Wright (RF), Kahlin Villines (CF), Tyler Timmer (SS), Dan Copeland (1B), Ryan Shockey (P) and Russell-Myers (DH-utility).

Bluefield is expected to be invited to the NCCAA National Championship when bids are released soon.
