LEBANON, Tenn. —
Asia Wheeler led all scorers with 16 points, but the Bluefield College Lady Rams were eliminated from the Mid-South Conference tournament on Friday afternoon, dropping a 63-54 decision to top-seeded and No. 4 ranked Campbellsville.
Lindsey Burd was the only Campbellsville player in double figures, scoring 10 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Katie Allen and Ellen Sholtes added nine points each for the Tigers.
Bluefield (14-15) also received 10 points from Janee Simmons and eight by Alexis Grant, who paced the Rams with seven rebounds.
Campbellsville (28-3), which had defeated Bluefield last Saturday to finish the regular season, will play Shawnee State or Lindsey Wilson today in the MSC semifinals.
Bluefield will compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Mid-East Regional next Friday and Saturday at Union University in Jackson, Tenn.
