WVU season sales down

MORGANTOWN — Season ticket sales for West Virginia football games are down with less than a month to go before the start of the season.

Sports marketing director Matt Wells says WVU has sold 33,100 season tickets. More than 37,400 were sold last season, the Mountain-eers’ first in the Big 12.

Wells told The Dominion Post that sales of single-game tickets are strong for home games against Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Georgia State.

Tickets for the Nov. 9 game against Texas are available only through a three-game package.
