BLACKSBURG, Va. —
Virginia Tech and Purdue have signed a contract to play a home-and-home football series beginning in 2015.
The initial contest will be played in 2015 in West Lafayette, Ind., and the Hokies will host the Boilmakers in 2023.
“This is another opportunity for Virginia Tech to play a Big Ten series and we’re looking forward to the games,” Virginia Tech Athletics Director Weaver said.
Virginia Tech has played just three of the current 12 members of the Big 10, those being Indiana, Michigan and Nebraska.
The Hokies have contracts in the future with Ohio State (2014, 2015), Wisconsin (2019, 2020), Michigan (2020, 2021) and Penn State (2022, 2023).
Tech has a 3-2 record against current Big Ten teams.
