MORGANTOWN — Former University of Houston running back Charles Sims has decided to transfer to West Virginia University for his senior campaign, according to numerous media report.
Sims, who is a graduate student and will be eligible this season, had a stellar campaign last year for the Cougars, running for 851 yards and 11 touchdowns, and also caught 37 passes for 373 yards and three more scores.
In three seasons, Sims has rushed for 2,370 yards and 29 touchdowns, and caught 158 passes for eight more scores.
Sims, who is considered a top running back candidate for the 2014 NFL Draft, is the second high-profile offseason transfer for the Mountaineers, following QB Clint Trickett, who has left Florida State and will also play for the Mountaineers.
