Concord falls at Charleston

CHARLESTON — LeAnne Rose led three Charleston scorers in double figures to lead the Golden Eagles to a 66-48 Mountain East Conference women’s basketball win over Concord on Wednesday night.

Rachel Artrip led Concord (9-16, 7-14) with 12 points and six rebounds, while Jacqueline Kester added 10 points and Andrea Bertrand had nine points and eight boards.

Chyress Lockhard added 12 points, six rebounds and six assists for Charleston (18-7, 14-7).

Charleston 64, Concord 59

CHARLESTON — Aleksander Kesis had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles past the Mountain Lions.

Concord (8-19, 5-16) was paced by Cam Shannon with 14 points, while Terry hopewell added 12 points and seven rebounds.

Xavier Humphrey added 15 points and Fred Simpson had 12 for Charleston (18-7, 15-6).

Aaron Miller scored 12 points for the Mountain Lions, who will conclude the regular season on Saturday by entertaining Virginia-Wise.
