FAU takes down Herd

HUNTINGTON — Princeton product McKenzie Akers scored eight points and dished out four assists, but Marshall dropped an 87-68 Conference USA decision to Florida Atlantic on Wednesday night.

Norrisha Victrum and Chukwuka Ezeigbo led the Herd (9-18, 2-12) with 16 points apiece.

Florida Atlantic (14-13, 4-10) was paced by Kimberly Smith with 26 points and Takia Brooks with 23.
