Kelly selected to CVCL All-Star team

ATHENS —  Concord University pitcher Zach Kelly has been selected to

participate in the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League All-Star Game on July 12 in Hickory, N.C. Kelly, who will be entering his sophomore year at Concord, will represent the Roanoke Rails on the Blue All-Star Team. He is 3-1 with a 3.03 ERA in seven appearances this summer for the Rails, striking out 30 in 32 1/3 innings on the mound. Kelly had a fine freshman campaign last spring for the Mountain Lions, posting a 5-2 record and 16 strikeouts in 35 frames. The Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League is a wood bat summer baseball league consisting of players from all levels of college baseball.
