Virginia plays in NIT quarterfinal tonight

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Virginia head coach Tony Bennett will lead the Cavaliers into an NIT game against the Iowa Hawkeyes tonight at 7 p.m. in Charlottesville.

UVa has won a school-record 20 home games this season and Bennett has produced the Wahoos’ first back-to-back 20-win seasons since 1993.

The winner goes on to the semifinals at Madison Square Garden in New York next Tuesday.
