Lady Herd falls in Texas

DENTON, Texas — Princeton product McKenzie Akers scored six points in Marshall’s 63-50 loss to North Texas on Wednesday night.

Leah Scott paced the Herd (7-9, 0-3) with 15 points. Suporia Dickens added eight points. Akers made two of Marshall’s six 3s in the game.

North Texas (7-9, 1-2) was led by Alexis Hyder with 18 points.

Marshall travels to Rice on Saturday.
