Winston-Salem State tops Big Blues

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem State, ranked No. 7 in the Atlantic Region, had 17 hits while the Bluefield State Big Blues (4-18) had seven on Friday in the Rams' 13-4 win.

Bluefield State’s Kyle Blocker drove in the first run with a single in the second inning. In the eighth, Cody Underwood scored on a wild pitch and Alex Dunn drove in Kevin Moxey with a groundout. Dale Davis’ sacrifice fly scored Antonio Bolden in the ninth.

The Rams (27-8) scored three runs in the second and four in the eighth. Jacob Muncy took the loss, striking out two, allowing two hits and three runs.
